I took this photo from the opposite shore of the Rhone River in Arles, France  
After spending a week in Provence, I well understand the appeal of the light there to so many painters.  Chagall, Picasso, Matisse, and Van Gogh all spent their later years Provence, drawn by the light.  The atmosphere glows.
