We got cable TV on Saturday.  On Tuesday night, for the first time, I saw MSNBC and the Ed Show.  As it happened, he showed several clips of Franklin Graham (son of Billy) and Rick Santorum questioning another man's religion...judging really.  Made me want to write a song.  I don't think anyone speaks for God, especially the ones who seem to think they do.
To tell the truth, I'm not sure if this qualifies as a new spiritual song and I wasn't sure which group to put it in on the music page.
It's more of my own personal commentary on a matter that touches on both the spiritual and political.  And as the old saying goes, take what you like and leave the rest.  I'm pretty sure some people won't much care for this song, but a few will.  So it goes.

Lyrics

Well you don't speak for God
I don't care who you are
This is my country, your country, our country (repeat after after couplet)
We've all got our beliefs
No one knows what God thinks
And you don't get to say
Who is damned and who is saved
Or that God loves you more
Than the Muslims next door
Cause it's clear you're no saint
With that trash talking hate
I can hear, I can see
That you're dangerous and mean
And the fear that you sell
Ain't from God, it's stright from Hell
And you don't speak for God
I don't care who you are
Jesus said not to judge
All he taught was to love
